Wireless maintenance will be performed Tuesday February 17th beginning at 6:00 AM.

Clients may experience an interruption to wireless network service as access points reload with optimized configurations.

M3 and DC CS Datacenter maintenance - Threat To Service Feb 17, 2026 07:00-08:00 EST

IST network services is going to perform maintenance on the CS datacenter switch in M3 and DC on Tuesday morning, Feb. 17th, between 7:00 am and 8:00 am.
Hosts that are connected to the switch will experience a brief downtime during the operation.
Server owners will be contacted individually with further details

git.uwaterloo.ca - application maintenance - Outage Feb 17, 2026 09:00-10:00 EST

On or around 9:00am on Tuesday the 17th of February, git.uwaterloo.ca will be restarted to apply security and application patches. This maintenance should bring GitLab to latest patch in 18.8.x release line.

Scheduled Quest Disaster Recovery Test: February 18 – 25 - No Impact Feb 18, 2026 07:00 - Feb 25, 2026 08:00 EST

Quest will be testing disaster recovery processes over the week of February 18-25.

The switchover to the backup site is scheduled to take place on February 18 between 7-8am and the switch back to the primary site will take place on February 25 between 7-8am. No additional downtime is expected.

Data center maintenance for development networks - Outage Feb 18, 2026 07:00-08:00 EST

Maintenance will be performed in the IST Data Center on February 18th, beginning at 7:00 AM.

A number of development networks will experience a very brief network interruption while routing configuration changes are applied. Server administrators will be contacted directly.

Dana Porter Library and Davis Center Network Outage - Outage
Resolved - The outage was caused by a hardware issue with the building router. The wired and wireless network resumed after the router was reloaded.
