IST network services is going to perform a replacement for the E2 router between 7:00 am and 8:00 am on Thursday, Dec. 4th.
The operation will cause an interruption to the wired and wireless services.

East Campus Hall Building Router Cutover - Degradation Dec 5, 2025 06:00-08:00 EST

Network Services will perform a cut-over for parts of East Campus Hall (ECH) to its new building router on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 6:00 AM.
During this maintenance window, clients in ECH may experience brief interruptions to wired and wireless network services. However, the work is not expected to last the entire maintenance period, with normal service resuming thereafter.

Fiber route inspection for datacenter router in M3 3101 - Threat To Service Dec 5, 2025 07:00-08:00 EST

IST network services will inspect the fiber route from the M3 datacenter router to the distribution router in MC between 7:00 am and 8:00 am on Friday, Dec. 5th.
The operation is to improve the light quality for the M3 datacenter router.

NetApp Storage System Maintenance Notice: December 6-7, 2025 - No Impact Dec 6, 2025 08:00 - Dec 7, 2025 12:00 EST

We will be performing a scheduled upgrade of our NetApp storage systems to the latest ONTAP release. This is part of our regular lifecycle maintenance to ensure performance, security, and long-term stability.

During the maintenance window, the systems will remain online. However, there may be brief, intermittent service interruptions (typically less than 5 minutes). No extended downtime is expected.

Schedule:
December 6 – MC Storage Cluster (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
December 7 – EC2 Storage Cluster (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM)

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we carry out this upgrade. Our team will be monitoring closely to minimize any impact.

End-of-Year Change Freeze – December 17, 2025 - No Impact Dec 17, 2025 15:00 - Jan 6, 2026 07:00 EST

Please be advised that IST networks, servers and storage, physical security, and the ISS team will enter a change freeze starting at 3:00 PM on December 17, 2025. This freeze will remain in effect until January 6, 2026.

During this period:
- Break-fix, troubleshooting, and general maintenance will continue as needed.
- No planned changes will be implemented.

If you require work to be completed before the holiday change freeze, please submit your requests well in advance to allow sufficient time for processing. Tickets are handled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Resolved - Permissions settings for a team-managed project caused users to see a duplicate of the 'Request Type' field. The permissions have been updated and filters, dashboards, and other tools should now be operating normally.

Investigating - What is happening? Atlassian no longer recognizes the name of the default Request Type field as a valid search option.

IST is investigating with the vendor. In the meantime, critical filters can be updated to use the unique field ID cf[10010] instead of the name as a workaround.

What is the impact? Dashboards and other tools utilizing filters will not display results if dependent on the Request Type field.
